We created a management system that allows beauticians to manage their offline as well as an online business. Built with high standards for performance, security, and intuitive user experiences, the platform is engineered to support mission-critical workflows and seamless scale.

Salony is a high-growth beauty and wellness marketplace operating across the GCC region, connecting thousands of women with top hair salons, spas, nail studios, and freelance makeup artists. Salons struggled with high operational friction: fragmented walk-in and online appointment books leading to double-booked time slots, high client no-show rates during peak weekend hours, and complex manual calculations for stylist commission splits and retail product sales that cost salon owners hours every evening.

Step-by-Step Technical Execution
We developed native-quality cross-platform mobile apps in Flutter for consumers, featuring an intuitive booking flow, salon portfolio galleries, service comparison tables, and Google Maps salon navigation. We built a tablet-optimized salon management web portal in Node.js and PostgreSQL, delivering a real-time drag-and-drop appointment calendar, staff shift roster management, and automated stylist commission tracking. To eliminate double-bookings, the system utilizes database-level slot reservations that lock appointment times during checkout. We integrated Stripe with Apple Pay and local GCC debit cards (Mada, KNET) for upfront booking deposits, which cut customer no-shows by over 65%. We built an automated SMS and WhatsApp notification service that dispatches timed appointment reminders and personalized re-booking links based on individual customer treatment cycles (e.g., haircut every 4 weeks).
